CASE STUDY | CSU Sacramento Parking Structure 5

Sacramento State鈥檚 Parking Structure 5, exemplified all the characteristics of a construction delivery best-practice project. The use of off-site manufacturing methods along with the Collaborative (Progressive) Design-Build approach made the project innovative, efficient and minimized overall disruption to the busy campus in Sacramento, California.

鈥淭he team successfully and safely delivered the project in alignment with the University鈥檚 program, within budget and utilizing the team鈥檚 prefabricated systems approach, significantly faster and with significantly less campus impact than competing conventional systems. The construction impacts to our campus community were so minimal that I鈥檝e had faculty remark to me they were surprised to see PS5 construction had started and was already complete.鈥

You'll Learn:

  • How the team completed the project in 11 months, on budget鈥
  • Prefabrication removed 5,700 worker-days offsite, reducing site impacts鈥
  • Recognized nationally for its sustainability features鈥
  • Achieved USRC Gold rating for resiliency
